After an 0-2 outing on my first attempt at taking on editorials I’m going to take another stab at it. The first editorial is from the New York Times about Debit Card Predators. It lays out some of the bank practices that require consumer protections and mentions bank efforts to avoid regulation. I like this article because it lays out some solution and the acts needed to reach it. In addition it reminds readers of the calamity lack of regulation can cause.

The second editorial comes from the Washington Post. I selected this for the dislike side because it doesn’t take much of a stand. It does lay out some facts about the budget and makes some claim to why it should be reduced, which is more than reasonable. But its basic message is that in order for the US to remain powerful we must get our financial house in order. Would anyone disagree with that?
